Tufte Performance and Production Center The 86,000-square-foot Tufte Performance and Production Center at Emerson College houses two theaters, two television studios, an exhibition gallery and a variety of classrooms and support facilities. The 11-story building, which opened in 2003, is located in Boston’s Theater District and is connected to and integrated with the landmark Cutler Majestic Theatre. The Tufte Center has received several major architectural and construction awards because of its unusual design on a challenging site. Architect: Elkus/Manfredi Ltd. |
