Cutler Majestic Theatre Built as an opera house in 1903, the Cutler Majestic Theatre was fully restored by Emerson College in phases beginning in the 1980s and ending in 2003, its centennial year. The 30,000-square-foot building is a Boston Historic Landmark. The recent restoration work has received several major architectural and preservation awards, including recognition from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the League of Historic American Theatres.
